Daily blog: 14th May

We are enjoying an afternoon back in class working on our topic... Y6 had Maths SATs paper 1 this morning and a bit of a chat through some revision after lunch. Now we're painting the back drop for our display and finalising our project work...

Daily blog: 9th May

Today the Y6 pupils are trying out what their 'SATS' rooms are like ready for next week.

Back in class we are working in support partners to solve a range of different problems and are clarifying any areas we were unsure of in tests this morning. We've already got our marks back and are pleased with the progress we are making :-) !!

Revising hard!
Year 6 children will be taking their SATs next week and are revising hard! Today we have been making sure we can tackle the 3 mark reading questions confidently.

                     -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This afternoon it was back to our independent learning project; the children are researching information about hot deserts and are creating a learning wall together.  They have developed the success criteria for the project themselves and have all selected quite different tasks to work on. Next week we hope to see the classroom transformed as all their hard work comes together.

Here children are working as a team to create a chart showing animal food chains in the desert. They've researched well and are now preparing their text, pictures and arrow lines ready to assemble it on the wall...

Today we were outside photographing freeze frames of key moments in the story.

Children were taking on roles of different characters.
